Let me start off by saying I absolutely love my Ninja 400. It's as close to perfect as a small motorcycle can get in my opinion. I can also say that without a doubt my least favorite thing about it is the stock mirrors. The mirror shape itself is phenomenal and has great visibility but they have an 8" long stalk that makes them look just plain awful. To give you an idea of how big they really are one mirror assembly (hinge and all) is about the length of my hand and forearm up to my elbow. Not surprisingly they stand out on the motorcycle in a really bad way. The second I found out Ninja 300 mirrors are essentially short Ninja 400 mirrors I decided to roll the dice and ordered the cheapest brand new set I could find.Boy did my $25 gamble pay off! They are 4" shorter than the OEM Ninja 400 mirrors and you can see how much of a difference that makes in my pictures. They look absolutely perfect once installed, so much so that I really question why Kawasaki ever changed them in the first place. Yes, there is a little less visibility compared to the longer stalks but they still have the same mirror shape and great viewing areaThe install was super easy and they fit like the stock mirrors. I'm really not sure how others had fitment issues unless it was for a different motorcycle or they received a different product. Mine didn't come with new covers for the "hinge" though so make sure to reuse your old ones.I say "hinge" because like others have mentioned these technically do not fold, however I think they were meant to. If the center bolt is loosened slightly you can feel some kind of mechanism and it is possible to fold them into place like OEM mirrors, they just vibrate furiously while extended unless the bolt is tightened completely, which disables the folding feature. If a bit more quality was put into the mechanism I bet they would work like the stock mirrors. That being said these are amazing quality for the price and still deserve 5 stars. They even have metal stalks like the OEM ones! In fact other than the hinge there isn't anything negative I can say about these. They were delivered in 2 days, have great visibility, look incredible on my Ninja 400, and have close to OEM quality, all for $25 shipped. Even though they won't fold if the bike tips over I don't have a problem replacing them again for this price.Overall I highly recommend these for anyone with a Ninja 400 looking for a nice visual mod or even someone who wants a cheaper option than stock replacements on a Ninja 300
