I really hated the stock indicators sticking out like dogs balls on my v star so when I saw some mirrors with LEDs in the stems I thought I had found the answer.My mistake was buying cheap Chinese crap... The mirrors were unusable and the LEDs weren't bright enough... When they stopped working all together I decided to spend a bit more this time.I bought the kuryakyn and couldn't be happier! Great mirrors, bright indicators and easy to install. Wish I'd spent the money in the first place.I received the mirrors quickly but when I put them on the bike the turn signal wouldn't work. The running lights worked fine but not the turn signals. So I hooked the running light wire to the turn signal wire and it flashed as a turn signal fine. Hooking the turn signal wire to the running light wire produced nothing. Hooking the running light wire directly to the battery it worked. Hooking the turn signal wire directly to the battery produced nothing. There was no light from the turn signal at all, no matter what you do. This was true with both mirrors. Returned the mirrors for another set. (the amazon return process was quick and easy) The second set does exactly the same thing. I called Kuryakyn customer support and they did not have an explanation or a solution. I am replacing a cheaper set of LED turn signal mirrors which worked fine except they were not bright enough and vibrated too much. I was hoping that by paying a higher price from a company I thought was good I would get a better product. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. I'm returning the second set for a refund.Nice and bright red turn signal, gives the person that decides to run alongside you or in you blind spot something to see when your signals are on. Also they are an extra set of running lights for increased visibility to oncoming traffic. They are convex mirrors so cars are closer, greatly closer, than they appear to be, that needs to be in the front of your mind at all times especially on a road like I95. You get a wider field of view so you can have a better chance of seeing the road racers about to overtake you on the right.I bought these for my wife's bike. We got a custom paint job for her bike and thought these would add to it. These mirrors make the bike more visible during the day and at night. The quality is great and the installation was simple. I would recommend these to anyone.Bought for a metric cruiser, the arm is way too beefy, the connections to keep it tight are too flimsy, and I could not get the flasher to work. cut my factory wires, soldered on the negative, and trying no combination of wire connections would make it work as a flasher - waste of a day, and I let the project sit for too long to try to return.I paid about the same amount for some tear drop l.e.d. mirrors. Unless it was a cloudy day or at night, I could barely see the turn signals. And while riding I spent most of my time readjusting the right mirror because it would not stay locked in position (not safe). These Kuryakyns are bright and stay locked in the position you set them in. I would highly recommend these mirrors! Glenn LawsonI love these mirrors...
