Very strange. I have other sets of Arteza liquid chalk markers and have been quite happy with them. I thought that "neon" markers would be a nice change of pace. However, most of the colors turn out to be almost invisible on the chalkboard (the blue is the exception and is what I expect ... it's a nice, neon blue). The other colors show up just fine on my thumb ("your thumb?" ... you have to pump the marker to get the ink to the tip, the fastest way to do this is by clicking it with your thumb). 2/5 stars for 1 useful marker out of 8.These markers are usually awesome. When new, they need to be shaken vigorously so that the formula inside mixes together. I was only able to get three of the eight markers to mix properly. Big disappointment. Didn’t have them when I needed them. Had to send them back.I purchased these markers to decorate my son’s car for graduation. To use them, they are very similar to paint markers; shake them and then prime the tips with paint. It was nice that extra tips were included, but I have not had to use them yet. Some of the colors are much more vibrant than the others, much more pigmented, the silver, blue and red are particularly nice. I only gave 4 stars because unfortunately the gold marker did not work at all. No matter how hard or how long I shook it, (and I tried for a LONG time) there was no “ball rattling” sound, so it seemed as if all of the pigment had solidified. I was disappointed because I would’ve really liked to have been able to use the gold. Like the other reviewers stated, if you press too hard, a big blob of paint will come gushing out, so you need to push down gently on the nub to let the paint flow. It started to come off the windows with some rain, which I imagine means that it shouldn’t be too hard to remove if necessary. overall, with the exception of the disappointing gold marker, it is a very good product.The blue and yellow are the best colors they are bright all the other colors are very light and hard to see.Some of the markers dry up fairly fast and in order to get them to work I basically had to overflow the nib with ink which makes it drip. With some colors it’s hard to get opacity over a large surface. Used them to make some cute drawings on my car windows (inside so the don’t get washed off) and the colors are decent, but I wish I had bought more to have a better variety. Clean up is easy although the ink does have a tendency to bleed. Haven’t used the fine point of the nib but you can get fairly fine lines with the normal side tooGot these because it says they work on windows. While yes they technically do work, it’s just not very well. Very streaky and half the colors barely show up. They work well on white boards and are easy to steam up though. Just a waste for what I got them forThese markers are beautiful and vibrant! I initially purchased them to use on the chalkboard contact paper in my office, but have rewritten name tags, left pick me up notes on mirrors and created a garden on my shower door (the outside). When you are starting a pen for the first time, you do need to be a bit careful as the paint comes out quick when you push the nib down, but that’s typical of paint pens. These colors are gorgeous and brilliant on glass, mirrors and black chalkboards (probably other things, but this is all I’ve tried).Good, except for the gold. The gold is streaky and does not stick. Also, these tend to stain if you're writing on a chalk paint surface. I found it best on smooth surfaces like glass.The gold pen has solidified inside, I can’t hear the internal ball bearing when I shake it and clear liquid comes out… all other pens in the pack work. Couldn’t be bothered to send this back and as the other pens worked I kept it. Works well on a glass blackboard I purchased.Need a little bit of cleaning fluid or water / wet cloth to remove don’t wipe off dry but that’s ok.I loved the product. They are a little more wet than I would like, needs a bit of time to dry. The gold marker came without a ball inside, so is completely useless.
